Day 1 of Discipleship

Reflections from the day:

Praise Jesus that there is so much Passion in the air about who we really are in Christ. This week's goal is we start everyday with God and that whatever crosses we may bear would be conquered with God's strength and NOT our own. We will be starting from the small things: from temptations of bickering with our Parents to the addictions of internet websites. The smaller accomplishments will gain way toward bigger and more difficult challenges. Please be in prayer for the disciples that were called...for though there were few that were called and answered from the many, this will be the start of being the disciples of a Great an Awesome God!

The discipleship training is from Mon, Wed, Fri., for the first two weeks of August. Mon& Wed From 7-9pm. And Friday from 7-11pm (Friday: Parental permissions required). Room 2.

Restored!

In the beginning was the relationship between God and man, the Creator and the created. huMAN kind being totally dependent to the breath of God and our joy was to be with Him. When the pride of man corrupted the whole earth, the relationship with God was also broken. So forward millions? of years later, the CHrist who is our bridge and reconnector died and restored all that was broken.

So how is the relationship you have with God? The one Christ painfully and lovingly try to rekindle for our sake.... Is it the original relationship God had created with man in the beginning? Are you dependent solely on God or are you trying to handle life by your own understanding?

Have you been patiently waiting on the Lord, but have given up and made your own decisions instead? Or are you impatiently enduring the faith process of waiting for the unanswer to be answered already?! Sometimes, to admit to God being the Creator means to have faith that He is gonna work things out...and just trusting in His authority and Him knowing the best for us.
just like lil' kids, they wanna eat icecream before dinner but their parents know better. because they have the wisdom that icecream is not a hearty meal, nor is it going to fill them up.

I don't know where you are, but I do know that I want to make the decision to be dependent to God in all things because it just sucks to try to live life where i don't know what's really the best for myself. without God, I always need to start over after falling my face. When i'm dependent upon God I know He'll never fail me, nor forsake me....even if i want to quit on my life.

ANd for us as Christians the only way to stay close to the Father is to believe that we are truly restored by the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Because when life comes at me hard and i'm cornered by all the struggles of this world, all I have left is faith. No money, no education, no material/earthly assurance is guaranteed in life. I only have Faith that HE is there for me and that HE will give me strength to see and get through another day, Faith that there is hope of overcoming when it seems that God's side is a losing, Faith that no matter what kinds of sins I've dealt with before I can look forward to renewed parts, renewed mind, and a renewed destiny for myself in Jesus.

Remember today that: YOU are RESTORED!! Jesus paid too much of a price for you to forget who you are with a God who makes all things possible.

You are on the winning side....no matter what the battle looks like right now. We are prophecied to be more than conquerors, victorious in this battle of LIFE.

Scripture tells us: "Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into the place of highest privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God's glory." -Romans 5:1-2

Summer Awakening

Hello everyone!
this is an invitation for a discipleship program this summer...

are you fired up to live a life for Christ?
to live a life worth living,
with a purpose that's surreal?

are you willing to bring love to your communities

to stand up and be the voice for the poor and broken?
to be followers of Christ's love?

are you ready, then to follow Him to the depths of the ocean?

are you ready to be His disciple?

this is a call for everyone who feels that Christ wants to use their life,
not be titled in man's eyes as a minister
but be seen in God's eyes as:

a good and faithful SERVANT.

From the start of July 25th, there will be a contract of a Promise made

And a Promise kept:

to live the true life of a servant of God.

Justice

I see no justice in this world sometimes....so if we can't see true wisdom unless we see WISDOM. we don't know what true justice looks like until we see God. His measurements of justice is not the same as the world's and until we just go away from thinking like the world and go with the thoughts to please God....that is when we see true justice...

Luke 6: 27-36...

Love for Enemies

²⁷"But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, ²⁸bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. ²⁹If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. ³⁰Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. ³¹Do to others as you would have them do to you.

³²"If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' love those who love them. ³³And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' do that. ³⁴And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' lend to 'sinners,' expecting to be repaid in full. ³⁵But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. ³⁶Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

verse 27: this beyond the concept of Justice of which we are faced upon this earth. This is NOT what our enemies deserve, this NOT in our natural capabilities...this is God's love, God's grace upon you and your enemies' lives.

verse 28: the last thing as prideful, ignorant, just humans would like to do is wish something nice to someone how has hurt them. but the bible asks us to bless and on top of blessing...also praying for them. you pray for your loved ones usually....today: try praying for your enemies/people who persecute you.

verse 29: let people hurt you. Jesus did this while having the ability to crush the people who hurt him in a blink of an eye, he endured it. not b/c He didn't have a choice, but because He wanted the punishment of your sins upon Him. since Jesus did this, why can't we do that for the people who hurt us, to let them....and endure the pain as a blessing....as a mark of victory over death and sin. what they are doing to you is a sin, it would be a sin to go back and defend yourself.

30:when you give to everyone who asks you are being the true bearers of blessings. if God intended you to be steward of all the things you possess...can you remember that its not your stuff you are really giving away...but its God's stuff? And trust me God has more where that came from. so don't stress if your ipod is stolen just sit back and know that you are just a steward of blessings to come.

31: if you want your friend to share their stuff....don't ask....just show them how its done. no one likes being told what to do...so why not just be the example that you want others to be?

its so hard to be what you say you are nowaday because first off: words aren't upheld their powers in our society:

your dad promises you to go camping with you, but what happens: his business deadline gets in the way.

you tell your friend you will always be there for them, but when gossip has it that they said something bad about you...you change your mind.

let's face it...society loves to change their minds and take back their words and promises....

divorce, tardies, cancelled appointments, etc....

so for us to say: i will do what i said....needs first of all to be DONE.

actions do speak louder and more powerful than words.

statistics tell us that the number reason why people don't become christians is because most people see christians hypocrisy towards their God: Jesus Christ. they know it and preach it, but they've never seen it acted it out....that should be a smack to our own faces.

verse 32:the world already knows how to love the ones who love them....but only Jesus' followers can love the ones who don't love them. that is difference between us and the world, that we live the lives of grace instead of lives of justice and equality. we give people what they DON'T deserve because we ourselves serve a God who we don't deserve.

verse 33: sinners know how to do good to people who do good to them. everything is of great balance and equality here on this earth, but Jesus' love is overflowing that measurement of justice. and its really love that justifies us to Him.

verse 34-35: expect to lose the things God has given you, YOU are just a steward....your little object that you give away is an opportunity to give them Jesus, to show the love of Jesus. because at the end of it all: people won't wonder why you are doing justice, but people WILL wonder why you are giving them more than they deserve....which is GRACE.

grace to the unkind, undeserving, and wicked....grace to all no matter race, gender, sex, ethnicity, any physical orientation....Jesus to all through your sufferings of love. what you suffer on this earth for the name of Jesus Christ, will you be rewarded in heaven. a temporary pain for an eternity of blessings.

you choose which place to be blessed upon. a world of justice, or an eternity with undeserving love....

we are shown mercy by our father and just like our father....we will show mercy to the world. are you ready to face the world?

Let us pray:

Father Lord, we are unworthy, undeserving. Yet you given us the gift that is most desired secretly in everyone's heart. an injustice to You, but a grace to us. Lord you are amazing to our faltering emotions and our lives....God you are the rock in our stormy lives. We pray we will show all these things to the people who hurt and offend us. To the ones who hate and abuse us, to the ones we believe don't deserve mercy....help us Lord, to show mercy. we are in unbelief about your Love.

Lord help us to stand out of the crowd for the actions we live because of our love for YOU. let our fruits be pleasing and ripe in your eyes. Let us be of great approval as we submit our properties, or friends, or lives to Your great Kingdom. Lord we bow down and bring YOUR justice of GRACE upon this world that lacks real love. in Jesus Christ name we pray...AMen.

Hello everyone, how is everyone's week so far?

...

I would like to ask you guys to really see the way you are living your life right now...in the private part (when you are alone) ....and the public part (when you are with your friends/family)
Do you have a identity switch, OR are you the same?

...

Whatever you are...there's this identity that the world tries to convert us into. A shoe that is not fitting...kinda like Cinderella's stepsister's complex. Shoving your soul into a destination that doesn't fit you. And you know what the reason for this is, correct? No, its not because you aren't popular enough...No, its not because you aren't good enough. This misfit is normal. It happens to many.

Look at the foreigners of this world...many have been rejects of society. Our brother Stephen: stoned to death for preachin' truth, Martin Luther King Jr.: shot down for a revolution of equality, and... Yesu: an innocent victim who suffered an unjustly treason, was slaughtered and hung on tree. Though He was God, He didn't identity equality with God. Showing that even though Yesu (Jesus) was an almighty figure, Jesus lessened Himself so He can heighten your relationship with God.

So are you ready to Heighten that relationship?

This is your story. God is recording what you decide today. Are you going to risk your citizenship in Heaven for a temporary visa here in this world? And that is exactally what we do each day when decide to do OUR will and not HIS will.

Our Scripture is: 1 Peter 2:4-5

4As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him— 5you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Your life is a holy priesthood. That is our identity through Christ, you have dedicated yourself a mission above the waves of this world. ABOVE the thoughts of this world, ABOVE the choices of this world.

And our offerings come in so many different shapes and sizes: our talents (to surrender your game to God) , our relationships (to dedicate your girlfriend to purity with God), thoughts (the way we think is the way we speak and act), our shortcomings (your weakness is HIS strenghth).

These are the spritual sacrifices that are so pleasing and acceptable to God...have you been giving God a consistant offering? These are not offerings outa your wallet, this is a offering outa your life.

God choses you as the chosen stone, you don't chose yourself...you don't need to fit into a mold and shove your soul in a weird position. He doesn't call you to do the impossible. But He does say everything is possible through Jesus Christ's strength. You may seem like a big dumb rock to the world, but YOU are a precious stone to God.

So are you letting the Master Stone Carver take you to a grander purpose as a HOLY being or are you settling for imperfection with the identity satan as set for you: a big useless rock.

1 Peter 2: 6

6For in Scripture it says:
"See, I lay a stone in Zion,
a chosen and precious cornerstone,
and the one who trusts in him
will never be put to shame."

God choses us you to be a precious cornerstone like Jesus was. So when you trust in Jesus, the stone in Zion (heaven) you will not be disappointed. I know there are so many things you can be disappointed by, your parents, your friends, your efforts in life. But THIS is what you don't have to be disappointed by. God will make it all worth it at the end, if you can hold on to Him til the end that is.

7Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe,
"The stone the builders rejected
has become the capstone,8and,
"A stone that causes men to stumble
and a rock that makes them fall."
They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for.

If you do not see the worth of this position that you have acquire through Jesus Christ, you are as good as the people who trip over the "big stupid rock" not noticing that its a freggin diamond. and are as ignorant as they are to treasure. When you see the value of something, you notice it more than other things. So if you are putting value on this cornerstone (Jesus) are you putting it in first place or are you just tripping over Him forgetting that He was there?

What is your life with Jesus as the cornerstone, is He the purpose for why you get up in the morning? is He the one to start you up before breakfast, before school, before your day?!

If He is in the way of your sins, in your desires to "live life to the fullest" He would be considered a "big stupid rock" but if you put on your spiritual eyes and truly believe the worth our the true King...you'll see that He's a Big FAT goldmine of a Diamond. And your sins are poop compared to what you have now. right?

....

Well sadly, we treat Jesus as a "big stupid rock" more than we treat Him like the true precious cornerstone that He really is.

So today...start building your day with the right stone: THE Cornerstone. Jesus is your identity, Jesus is your citizenship to Heaven, and so let Jesus be the chose the things you chose, and the reason why you live the way you do.

And know that YOU, whom the world has rejected has some company. For Jesus says that the world has rejected Him LONG before you and if you follow Him you will be also be rejected as well....but nevertheless....you are not alone. and remember: He doesn't call you to do the impossible. But He does say everything is possible through Jesus Christ's strength.

Redding Trip

I hope you guys are excited! Bethel Church here we come, please get your money out and ready. And me or Aunty Christina will come and pick you guys up. So, call for anyone who needs a ride. Two nights at Redding and all the more worshiping fun we'll have! God use our trip for His glory.

Remember also guys, the Newman trip is going to postponed to next month. September 19th, 2008.
